On March 27, the first day of the Menendez trial penalty phase, Mary Jane Stevenson appeared on America Online’s Globe, a virtual auditorium that allows as many as 5,000 people to participate in a live chat. Though the judge placed a “gag order” on lawyers involved in the case until the end of the penalty phase, Stevenson was in the courtroom and answered the following questions posed by the audience.
